The Gibson Enquiry:- 'The Group on Scientific Research into Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.)' will be comprised of MP's and Peers from across the political spectrum and is to be chaired by Dr Ian Gibson MP. This web page is designed to give MEActionUK readers a place to keep in touch with what is happening with the MP's Enquiry into ME/CFS set up by Ian Gibson MP. It will conduct an inquiry, looking at the progress that has occurred since the publication of the Chief Medical Officer’s Working Group Report into CFS/ME in 2002. Published 17 December 2005

BBC News:- Scientists believe they have pinpointed biological markers of chronic fatigue syndrome which could help develop a test and treatment for the condition. Published 21 July 2005.
MRC (Medical Research Council):- CFS/ME is a relatively common condition - affecting 2-4 people in every thousand - that imposes a substantial burden on the health of the UK population. Improvement of healthcare and social care for the people affected is an urgent challenge.
